FELIXSTOWE CITIZENS ADVICE BUREAU |
ResourcesAt Felixstowe we have four interview rooms enabling us to cope with the demand for person to person advice. We also provide advice by telephone. We do not supply advice by email. Our ApproachWhen you call in the Bureau you will be seen by an assessor who will conduct a brief initial interview. This initial interview, which is entirely confidential, is designed to determine the nature of your problem(s) and the way in which we can best help you. We are not able to provide advice during the initial interview, but at the end of it you will be offered one of the following:
We aim to ensure that the initial interview is carried out within the first 30 minutes of your visit. Please noteWe are able to deal with the initial assessment by telephone and can then offer an appointment or other information as detailed above. VolunteersWe are particularly targeting volunteers from groups who are currently under-represented across our Service. For example, people with disabilities, people with caring responsibilities, young people, and people from areas of high deprivation will have the opportunity to become involved in the CAB. Training will be geared to individual needs and additional support will be available if needed. By increasing the number of volunteers, the CAB will be able to provide a better service to the community. In turn, our volunteers will gain valuable skills and will have the opportunity to participate in rewarding voluntary work. 2008-9 Annual Report - Please click HERE to access the report.
